An assortment of Masks.
Making Masks
Kaylene Butler is the star behind this project, after checking on Victorian Health Dept criteria, she set her sights on making the masks with 2 layers of cotton, or 1 polyester & 1 cotton.
Money raised is going to Rotary Projects, & we are very happy to take orders from any & everyone... it was only by chance the day the photo was taken we have Orange Sky Laundry boys, Nick & Lucas at our club.
This is a perfect example of how one ordinary idea can turn into extraordinary.

Polio success from Movie Night

Grafton Midday Rotary president Robert Blanchard and vice president Lee Taylor on the Saraton Theatre steps after the film night.
Recognising the excellent success of the End Polio Movie that was hosted by Grafton Midday at the Saraton Theatre.
Rotary Clubs from Yamba, Maclean and Grafton joined Grafton Midday to support this event.
President Robert Blanchard and his very talented hard working team drove this great event.
We all enjoyed fellowship and a meal prior to the Movie at the Clocktower Hotel. $2103.80 was raised for End Polio which when matched 2 for 1 by The Gates Foundation results in $6300 towards eradicating Polio.
The Tweed Shire Australia Day awards recognised the Murwillumbah Hospital Coffee Shop volunteers for their enduring effort over many years.
The 2020 Group Volunteer of the Year award went to the Murwillumbah Hospital Coffee Shop Volunteers who provide their service 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Since 2006 when the Murwillumbah Central Rotary Club members designed and built the huge deck and renovated an unused old building to use for the shop, the group has raised more than $500,000 towards equipment for the hospital.
In 2018 Murwillumbah Central club members aided by a District Grant, replaced the outdoor section of the deck and in 2021 the club, supported by another District Grant, replaced the balance of the deck. The new deck is Modwood, which is low maintenance and long life.
The well-deserved recognition of the work of the Coffee Shop volunteers is based on the foresight and skills of the Murwillumbah Central Rotary members in creating "The Deck" and continued support and maintenance over many years.
