LITERACY & NUMERACY

Provides assistance to clubs who would like to have a program with literacy or numeracy in their community and promotes participation in world wide Rotary International Literacy programs.


WHEELCHAIRS - SURFERS SUNRISE

Surfers Sunrise Wheelchair Aid Ltd - they assemble wheelchairs from old bikes. There is a wheelchair factory at Unit 18/15 Commercial Drive, Southport. Thursday Workshops 6.300pm - 8.30pm All Welcome. Saturday Workshops 12.00pm - 4.30pm All welcome.


OPERATION LIVEWIRE

Rotary, Shell and the Queensland Department of State Development have jointly developed this initiative to encourage young Australians between the ages of 18 and 25 to plan for, and then establish, their own businesses. Applicants are partnered with Rotarians to act as mentors and help entrants throughout the development process of their business plans. The best plans share in prize money totalling $10000.00 which can be used to further develop the planned business.
